I am the one and only LaSonya Bryson-Murdaugh. I hold the position of Assistant Principal at HES. This is my fifth year in that capacity but my 23rd year in education. I started out as a teacher at the North District Middle School. I then moved to the position of Director of Adult Education before becoming a member of the Hornet's Nest. I often say the nest at HES is the best. It's true. Learning, laughter, love, the sense of family, and sense of community can all be found right here. I am delighted to have the opportunity to learn and grow with our students.
I believe in discipline, respect, expectations (high), success, and sensibility (DRESS). Our students will be college and career-ready individuals and quick thinkers who have the ability to meet and exceed all expectations, stand out for their excellence, and be noted for a sense of poise. When they leave HES, they will be DRESSed to face every situation life sends their way, even a pandemic.
